Due to the ever changing and challenging environment we currently find ourselves in we often seek to continue normal routines. With many people turning to online exercise classes more and more providers are facilitating this.
Activity finders make it easy for you to filter and identify sessions that you would like to participate in. Sessions may be on-demand or live, free or paid and individual or grouped.
Below we have compiled a list of some of our favourite online activity finders to help get you active at home in a variety of ways through a range of sessions.
Get Active is an activity finder from London Sport which aims to help you find online activities to get involved in. A range of activity types are shown and beginner sessions are prioritised. Get Active is ideal for those of you getting started or getting back into exercise.
What we like about it You can filter sessions by time, location and cost allowing you to find the perfect activity.
Join the Movement
Join the Movement is a national campaign by Sport England which encourages people to be more active at home during the coronavirus outbreak. There’s a selection of both free and paid classes, as well as sessions to suit all ability levels.
What we like about it As many people enjoy exercising in groups, Join the Movement have a range of online classes to help you exercise alone and together.
Our Parks provide a range of online programmes that aim to get you active no matter your fitness level. They have a range of on-demand videos and live workouts allowing you to choose a session which suits you. There is also a mix of free and low-cost sessions.
What we like about them Our Parks have some brilliant online fitness programmes for beginners including Couch to Fitness and Couch to Bhangra. Each involves three sessions a week that can be done at your own pace and intensity.
This Girl Can
This Girl Can is another national campaign by Sport England that reaches out to women aged 16-60. You will find a range of activities to do online including platies, yoga and fitness allowing you to discover the perfect session.
What we like about it Each session is reviewed before being advertised ensuring each session is female focused and suitable for the This Girl Can Campaign.
