Silverfit and TSB have created a fun, free and inter-generational summer fitness challenge for August and September!
Research indicates that older adults benefit greatly from inter-generational connections with younger people, keeping them healthier and happier in later life. Increasing older adults’ social interaction is also a great way to help combat loneliness; especially important in the current situations.
This challenge will encourage different generations to walk, jog and run together or virtually. By doing this challenge inter-generationally stronger relationships are built and accountability increases motivation. So, what’s the challenge?
- Pick a goal with the number 10 in it, for example, 10 miles a week, 10,000 steps a day or 10 minutes of running a day.
- The ultimate collective goal is to reach 10,000 miles!
Partner age difference does not have to be years and year, if you do not have a partner feel free to contact Silverfit and they will see if they can help.
