What to do if your Couch to 5k app keeps crashing?

It can be disheartening when you are out running and in the grove when your app crashes! We have all been there, we just need to embrace, overcome and carry on.

It is important to remember that there are always ways to deal with technical issues, however annoying it may be. Below are a few tips from other Couch to 5k runners who were in the same position as you!

“If you keep having trouble with the app you can download the podcasts off the NHS website which follows the same programme.

“I worked out that it was happening when my battery ran low so now I ensure it is no less than 50% charged, it hasn’t happened since.”

“Make sure C25k app isn’t running in the background before you lock your phone. Mine stops if I switch to another app for too long, I have to restart it.”

“Apparently it helps if you put phone on Do Not Disturb mode.”

“It’s your battery save mode, go to settings turn it off then turn off individual app.”

“I have learnt that if you shut all apps then turn your music on first, followed by C25k then Strava it doesn’t crash.”

The Couch to 5k app is a 9 week programme that helps you get into running at your own pace.
